Having used both Flagship Android phones and a couple of iPhone6s I can say the icloud restore on iPhone is brilliant and Google could learn from it. Also the fingerprint scanner on the iPhone is far better than Samsung's efforts. The cameras are equivalent to Android phones and IOS doesn't look like a dogs dinner anymore. Even freeing up the controls over the phone slightly with allowing 3rd party keyboards helps so you can avoid that dreadful Apple on screen keyboard.
But considering I could get a 32Gb Note 4 with 128GB SDcard and a massive 4G data allowance for a lot less than a 64GB iPhone6+ with 2GB of data I would have to be utterly insane to get the iPhone. Apple's prices are as mad as a box of frogs.
Oh and iTunes is bad enough even Beelzebub himself would find it torturous to use!
I don't hate Apple products, I just think they are good products but horribly over-priced compared to the competition.

On the assumption that vaping won't kill us or won't as kill as many of us as Smoking or as quickly... A couple of other money angles relating to life expectancy to ponder upon: Pensions: What happens when the average life expectancy of smokers increases. Pension, Trust Funds, Bonds, Insurance, etc.... There's a lot of corporate and institutional capital invested in Pharmaceutical and Tobacco industries. Here we have a product that will damage subsections of the Pharmaceutical Industry and a considerable portion of the Tobacco Industry. I believe this is a big part of what's going on. A huge advantage we have here in the UK is that people in public health are opening up to really look at the evidence. As more of that is being gathered every day the changes in attitude here are an inevitability. Stan the spanner, is already trying to isolate the uk from the argument, calling us an anomaly. which is something to be very proud of in my book. We need to make sure our public health has a loud voice at cop6 or we may find the uk signed up to a huge backwards step, closing down the debate to a one sided monologue. The fact that Stan Glans is ashamed of the UK makes me proud

Also just a reminder it's not illegal to sell e-cigs to anyone of any age. The over 18s only is a voluntary unofficial limit amongst e-cig vendors not supermarkets.
And using a 17 year old.
Absolute non-story created to generate a news story.

"Don't vape, spray some Hydrochloric acid in your mouth instead."
I'll take the e-cigs thanks all the same.

Oh I also agree but the very fact that Big Tobacco are trying to make it look like they are single handedly saving the world with e-cigs - which sinks us.
I too wish they'd go bust, but then the world economy would go into free fall.
If you think the 2008 banking crisis was bad, that would have nothing on a Big Tobacco crisis!

He's just towing the Labour party line. They all say that which is why it's imperative that they don't get into power at the next election.
If there's ever a politician that is spreading rubbish and lies about e-cigs, 99% chance they are labour.

" Why do we need 300 flavours? If they're just a smoking aid for adults, why do we need a gummy bear flavour?""
I do you miserable twat, now **** off and leave my choices of flavours as a 41 year old adult alone!

Isn't he already their advisor, so did he write to himself? Normally considered the first sign of madness, but in his case it was already well known. Considering he quotes his own studies to prove his theories I think madness is a given.

Well, kibbster, this paper: The Regulation of Nicotine Containing Products (NCPs) MHRA (12 June 2013) spells out why The Powers That Be want e-cigs regulated as medical products. For any vendor to make claims about them as an aid to smoking cessation simply plays into their hands. Not mentioned in the paper (of course) are the strenuous efforts being made by Big Pharma to achieve this, as we currently threaten their revenue stream. The vast majority of producers of devices and e-liquid cannot afford the required process to achieve that status, so they would go out of business. This would leave Big Pharma (and the Tobacco industry, of course) as a monopoly (duopoly?) supplier, free to charge whatever the market will bear for an inferior product I think the point is that 'they' are still trying - vigorously - and we have to fight every spurious/ludicrous accusation thrown at e-cigarettes, equally vigorously! There is so much ignorance about e-cigs among the general public (and certain politicians!) and this is being fostered by propaganda attacks, mostly funded by Big Pharma and the tobacco industry. What 'they' will do, if we don't keep fighting and counter-lobbying, is impose draconian and inappropriate legislation on our little vice. My two penn'orth... They've already got the right to classify them as medicines with the TPD... But they haven't. Not to say they won't but they've all backed away from med regs. Ecigs are the new tobacco you know and tobacco isn't medical but does allow you to penalise and persecute the users which you can't if it's medicine. I take any claims add to ecigs stopping people smoking as what they are. The truth. No doubt Glans, dickman and fatty McGoo will use any argument against us. If we make quit claims or if we lie and say they aren't efficacious then they've got their bars covered either way imho. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using proboards

OneDay - I think we would be very unwise to push for the promotion of vaping as a 'cessation aid' as we run the risk of getting mired in all the rules & regulations that the producers of patches, gum, sprays and those silly plastic dummies have to endure. We all know vaping works far better and we're not shy of telling smokers how well it works, how to get started, and what to avoid. Word of mouth is ultimately better than any advertising, IMO. Yes because luckily we haven't been lumped in with smokers anyway and bogged down with massive over regulation over the definition of what we do. ???? Ecigs have done amazingly well with only word of mouth so far but we are a drop in the ocean. Advertising could help give vaping that last push it needs to convert nearly all smokers. Ridiculous thing is that everyone knows ecigs are the most effective way to stop smoking but we can't say it... In case they.. Do what? What can they do that they haven't tried already and we are still here and still growing. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using proboards

After slagging off the Vype it occurred to me that of course it's shit. BAT have designed it to be shit.
If all their money comes from tobacco cigarettes why would they want to design a replacement that is better in a market where they'd have to compete with others making something better than they do?
They make good tobacco, it earns them billions. They can't earn billions from e-cigs (yet) so why compete with their own money maker.
