You know the secret to good juice!? Well hopefully it's not either of the two ingredients I mentioned The secret to good juice .... it's ... probably buy from a decent mixer Or like cooking, have good ingredients and a good recipe.... Or, I don't know, never mixed anything myself, too scared I'm going to waste a whole load of money making rubbish Fair play to Chris, wasn't trying to have a go It's funny though I think, I think dark orange juices look the best, I wonder if the colour changes the way I taste them? I think with some of them, they darken the longer they steep womble. The CVC I mixed last week has gone really dark already, so it must also depend what's used.

The longer they steep, nicotine content, at what temperature they're kept in and whether the concentrates used contain any diketones, all contribute towards any colour change.

Shamelessly stolen from Todds site >HERE<UPDATE: Here is an email that I got from Alex and gave me some more hints and tips which I thought I would post here as very solid advice for folk like me NEVER let your e-liquids steap with the cap off. Cap always on in a dark, room temperature place. If you let your e-liquids with the cap off, the oxygen will react with all your flavorings and nicotine, resulting in a half-nikotined eliquid and bad taste. Always mix your liquids with this order. Always put your flavorings 1st and then put your liquids heaviest 1st and leave the lighter ones for the end. In this case VG goes before the PG. This way will change the way all these liquids mix with each other. This rule applies for everything that involves mixing. From cocktails to cooking. Also, NEVER shake your final mix too much because you are breaking the connections of it. Its like shaking really hard a bottle of wine. The taste will change forever. Make small and gentle shakes for 30 seconds. This should be more than enough. These are some tips from a little DIY "seminar" we had from the guy at ATMOS LABS. Once i followed these advices i saw a huge difference not only in taste but in vapor quality too!

I have heard that walking anticlockwise around a carrot bush, clasping the e-liquid bottle lightly in the left hand, whilst chanting an old Hindu mantra (backwards) helps the infusion process.
Everyone has opinions on the subject. You decide what ones to listen to!

Well, I've decided that the cup I used to use to balance my bottles in while steeping with their tops off (now now, gents!) has seen its day, so I've already made the decision that all steeping will hitherto be decent and fully-clothed. And I must admit that I have not noticed any major difference - the colour changes, the flavours develop and I have a nice clean cupboard. Until such time as I learn that Hindu mantra backwards, I'll continue to steep with tops on. Andy

Andy does it take the same amount of time with tops on ?? im getting very confused with this steeping lark, tops off, tops on. give it a shake, dont give it a shake , ??? ???
