Joe, you did not mention the ? you tend to run in your ADs. Do you need more then the 3.7-4.1V that a mech mod can provide?
K, Those tins are perfect, the price a treat.

Tins look really cool...but unfortunately not my cup of tea
My ave Ohms is around 2 Ohm
Do I need more than 4.1 V ? I think that is the Question I maybe need answering most of all !
I can only compare what I am used too which is a VW device which I am really happy with...running at around 8-9 Watts 2.0 Ohms on my Spheroid
I would like to get as close to this performance as possible...but with a smaller...more discreet device to use at work and when going out
Cost is not a major factor...Thanks !!

I have like no idea about ohms etc... I just know for oot and aboot I like either my wee grippa with a DCC on top and a king kong drip tip (18350 battery...nice and tiny) or like my vamo in 18350 mode with an aga-t on top... Sorted

Dunno about spheroids - I'm a Nova user - but I wouldn't be without vv now. I'd suggest a spinner/twist which is what I use for out & about (Vamo or LT at home). The voltage drop is a nuisance if I'm away from home for a while and don't want to use the vamo. Doesn't happen to me often - if it did I'd buy another spinner.

The Picollo is a nice 14500 mech mod and goes quite well with the Spheroid: If you want to vape at 8/9 Watts with it though, you would have to coil your Spheroid at 1.5 ohms at the most, because of the battery voltage drop off. The Twist or Spinner work fine with it as well, but of course it would look at bit top heavy. You could also consider a 14500 VV device like this one: www.safercigs.co.uk/ROBUST_VV/cat705284_1613717.aspx

I'm hovering over the buy button on the telescopic mod. But do I need it? Then again, I have the £10 mec mod from there. A vamo en route from vapour break and egos for out and about. Obviously a telescopic mod would fill the space I never knew I had before I saw that LOL. Hmm.

Jerri - I wasn't sure if I needed it and have the same set ups as you. I thought I'd take one for the team and find out, I'll let you know the outcome I'm the next couple of days. Worse case I will weigh it in!

Dave....Yep fortunately the Piccolo came with the AW IMR 14500 batteries so thats good I only have 0.2 Kanthal wire...will that make any difference to the Ohms ? If I do 4 wraps it seems to give me around 2 to 2.2 Ohms Any reason to nichrome over kanthal wire My Piccolo will be the V3...will this still need the springs ? If you can give me a shout when their available in the UK that would be great Any other tips on my setup would be appreciated !! Thanks to Dave and everyone else for their input What a great site !!!!

If you can give me a shout when their available in the UK that would be great Any other tips on my setup would be appreciated !! Thanks to Dave and everyone else for their input What a great site !!!! Kanthal wire has higher resistance than Nichrome wire for the same thickness and length, so if 4 wraps of 0.2 Nichrome gives you about 1.5 ohms on doubled up 3mm wick, you would only need 3 wraps of Kanthal roughly for the same resistance. You could try that and see how you get on, but it would probably be worth getting some lower resistance wire so you can see if you prefer to have more wraps of wire. I always use Nichrome with silica wick - mainly because I've got loads of it, but I don't think using Kanthal would make much difference. You could try either 0.2 Nichrome or 0.22/0.25 Kanthal. If you don't already, it is a good idea to flame Kanthal a few times with a lighter before you use it - it makes it less springy and easier to work with and gets rid of any impurities. The V3 may come with the new screw connector on the positive end - this new arrangement has only recently been developed so I'm not sure when they started fitting it as standard. You will soon see - if the top cap has a spring sticking out of it you have the old style connector. They work perfectly well, you just have to be a bit careful with them Good luck with your Picollo - let us know how you gt on with it!
