Over wicking ? Aggressive spitting little aga t

I've tried searching this but don't seem to have found anyone with the same Infact it seems people complain they get the complete operative

Ok heres the set up 40x70mm nearly solid wick
constant 1.8ohm .2 kanthal no hotspots
I've ran it anywhere between 6 and 10watts but with the cap off there's not a great deal of vapour and visible juice bubbling and spitting like crazy

It seems my wick is Infact over wicking :s I've squeezed the top so it's not hollow put the filler screw in but it still does the same

Any ideas on this could it be my wick not being tight in the hole leaving a slight gap because that's the only thing different from every other time I've set it up

Saying this I must add the taste is fine and there's an ok amout of vapour when vaping it , my only issues are why it's behaving differently than the times before (always 50/50) spitting like crazy to the point it leaks a little when I take the cap off , I certainly wouldn't trust it on its side for more than a few seconds

Yeah that's the prob....it's not fitting tight enough in the hole...

I had a similar prob....kind of like flooding...

Grrr it's the same wick I had workin fine before I just rinse and burned it quick to change flavours haha except when I put it back in and recoiled I pushed it a bit closer the center post which has left a slight gap to the side of the wick properly enough for a pin so it's bloody small
Seems it serves me right for changing flavour an fannying about with it hahaha , I hate this things so much right now lol

Take the wick out and hold with some tweezers and set it on fire. Then douse it with some PG/VG and do it again..

New wicks have the tendency to spit a bit..

Cheer macca I did do that a few times before I put it in and before filling once I was sure there were now hs I adding some vg and burnt it off slowly a few times
Think ill have to just put another tank through it see if it calms down a bit , hope so anyway lol
