Ekowool arrived today so decided to have a bash at re-wicking a T3 As Dave said, it's a bit flat, but with a little gentle squeezing on the sides can easily be made tubular. I wound the coil first and then moistened the end of the wick and carefully thread it through the coil. as soon as it's in the coil it keeps it's round shape. I used Kanthal A1 0.20mm (5 wraps) I ended up with a resistance of about 2.5 Ohms, I'll probably only do 4 wraps next time cos I prefer it around 1.8 Ohms. primed with Eskimo and ready to vape :Dloving it so far and will definitely be using it in the eVod when my replacement heads arrive..

Nice, what did you wind the coil around? the probe on my multimeter.. turned out to be just the right size, it's a fraction under 2mm wide. Great looking coil, very neat. thanks man and those are some very impressive O's is that vapour or a hit from a bong ?!

wanted to quickly mention here that with the braided wick, I haven't had a single drop of juice coming out the bottom of my T3 into the battery yet & I've vaped the whole lot down to the 0.8ml mark. with the normal 2mm wick, whenever I looked in the battery there would always be some condensation or little drops of juice in there..dry as a bone now.

After seeing your thread Adam it reminded me that i have some Ekowool here that Dave kindly sent me to try, thanks again Dave.I doubled over a piece of Ekowool and wrapped 4 tight coils of 0.16 nichrome which is giving me 1.8ohm.WOW,bags and bags of flavour, great vapour and the throat hit isn't to shabby either at 9W on the Vamo.My coil is nowhere near as neat as yours though Adam,i think they need you in china to make all the pre made coils to send out to us lot :DThat is the most tidy coil i have ever seen, well done.

Nice one Ian I actually trained in a Shaolin temple for 5 years in the mysterious & secret art of "Wick-Fu"! what atomizer are you using the ekowool in? and did you double up the 2mm or the 1mm ekowool?

I'm using it in the T3 aswell mate.It looks like 2mm Ekowool to me,but Dave sent it to me to try so would need him to confirm that.I have found it alot better than the 2mm CE2 wick,as you said,no leaking into the connector,no gurgling either. If it continues to work this well then i will have to stock up on this wick.Even though it's doubled,i'm getting perfect wicking and no signs of dry hits which is the aim of the game ;)I had put my T3 away in the spares box but now i'm really enjoying using it again, bonus.

It's what they call 1mm Ekowool Ian - although it is 2mm across on the flat side. Somebody who got the 2mm said it actually measured 4mm across! I've only used it in the Kayfun and I fold it over twice so in effect it is trebled. 4 (or possibly 4 and a half)wraps of 0.16 nichrome give me about 1.8 ohms, with 0.2 NC it goes down to about 1.4 ohms. I tend to stick to around 1.8 or so since I mainly use VV/VW devices, but you would probably want something a bit lower with a mech mod.
