Looking at purchasing one. Pro's and con's?
VapourBreak have one that looks OK.
I used to change my Mini engine every other week back in the day. How difficult can rebuilding be?

Are you looking at the Phoenix, which is a silca wick, or the DID which is mesh?

That's not at all bad for under nine quid delivered.
As far as pros and cons, mesh wicks are great for improving the flavour of tobacco juices. Sweet or dessert types are better on silica though. If you can get a mesh wick and coil going well it will keep going better than silica but they can be very difficult to get right.

I would assume silica is like a cloth weave One? The wick from VB is mesh.

Yes indeed... The DID uses stainless steel mesh as it's wick. The phoenix uses silica wick

Noooo don't do it! Lol sorry but I got a DID mini clone and couldn't get it to work, took it to a meet where a few people tried, eventually macca had a go and managed to fix it and I hated the vape from it!!!

The pheonix also uses mesh  I'm using one now with it. Mesh is brilliant when it's set up properly, it's a bit of a steep learning curve though. But if you can change a mini engine every couple of weeks I doubt if you'll have many problems with it. |
