grab a polishing kit from halfords and stick it on a drill The hard wheel first that'll help strip it and polish up you aluminium only £16.00 for the kit I use it for polishing the gg and all the other shineys but you have to wear white gloves when using it as they become finger print magnets

got some heads already ... already ordered alu compound off ebay ... but yes will be trying it out
