Well, you stay indoors and keep warm. I made Mr Dolly go in the supermarket on the way to the prison and get me some lovely tomato soup and crusty rolls. That will keep me warmed up till he comes home. mmmmmm sounds yummy dolly..............

I had to abandon my car last night. Fortunately only a quarter of a mile from home. I'd been to pick up DD from work at 6 and every road out of town was gridlock. Not an ounce of grit on the roads. Managed to get almost home eventually but we live on a hill and the car wouldn't make it. I am totally disillusioned with this country and our ability to get NOTHING done!

There just isn't any excuse for it. We all knew snow was coming last week for gods sake. Surely the councils had ample time to get their road gritters ready. Mr Dolly always gets really angry every time anyone mentions council tax. Living at the bottom of a steep hill means if it snows a certain amount we cannot go out, because the council wont grit side roads. He is threatening not to pay them again!

We have the same problem....................It makes you wonder exactly what are we paying Council Tax for!!!!!

Yes, i just went to the shops in my car and they were saying on the news that Eurostar is cancelled due to all the snow you have in France. Thankfully here we have had bright blue skies and sunshine all day which has melted a lot of the snow.

Still no snow here in Cornwall, but the strong wind that is blowing is bitterly cold.

Crikey, I'm surprised you made it, Dibby. After seeing the news from up there & that you were on vigilance rouge, thought it was more likely you stayed home & lost your leccy and/or phone. lol Well it is France! Stay safe & warm. It's been coming down here all day again, but thankfully, there was no need to step outside. Been peaceful too, only tractors going along the lane.
