I had the same problem with the Aga-T, sold it in the end because i couldn't be ar***

use 100% vg not had any problems have done for months,use it in both aga'ts and my arashi,what you may get is it boiling,i once bodged a coiling not spaced evenly still said 1.8ohm but it boiled the juice

What I learned from my AGA-S and a lot of swearing was that for high-VG juices, a solid wick is definitely the way forward.

Mine arrived today, I'm blown away with the flavour I'm getting. Or I would be if I hadn't messed about with it to the point of popping the coil. As I'm still waiting on the flat kanthal to arrive I'm now back on a viv nova, which is .....ok, but nothing like as good as the aga , it was steaming!

just wrap the wick with a real thin layer of cotton from a cotton ball or q tip. this will allow more juice to soak around the coil for extra vapor. it will also allow insulation from coil to wick, so no need to oxidize or fuss with coil, just do not dry burn, it is not needed. make sure you are firing between 7 to 8 watts (watts = volts * volts/ohms) for the most efficient vape without being too cool or over cooked.

I am on my 3 long days at the mo for work, gonna do a full strip down (with pics of course) over the weekend. Will post as I go, using 0.2mm kanthal and 3mm silica U-Wick (no mesh on ends as I have run out).

This is my setup, 0.5 flat wire round a 400 mesh u wick.
its sucking on 50/50 VG/PG mixed juice, with the Vamo in short mode and cranked up to 11W 
and the coil measured at 1.3ohms at first, now its crept up to 1.5
it works best with the tank full, which its not staying for long on this setup.

I'm only 20mins away in Corringham mark, fancy an "Aga Night" ? Just rebuilt mine twice, 0.2mm kanthal and 3mm silica. Sat here comparing it with a mini-nova suck for suck.........the nova tastes much better. I am losing flavour tones so much.

Another point I have noticed, is the warmth of the vape. The Aga is a LOT cooler, can this be addressed in any way ? I want it hotter....more power just makes it taste burnt.

Try a short plastic/delrin drip tip, that should help

I've started thinking that maybe its my silica wick infecting the taste.....hell I've tried everything else

Think I've cracked it !! Boiled the **** out of my wick today for about half an hour while poodling about the house. New coil at 1.6ohms, Forest Fruits in the tank.....tastes MUCH better. Not sure its wicking as well as it has been, but plenty of vapour if not chain vaping...enough that I needed a few glasses of squash anyway
