Just had a thought (it didn`t hurt lol), what about some numbers stamped around the olives, it would be like a combination lock lol

Just noticed, one of them olives are slanted (the one under the power button), sorry my ocd picks up everything

They don't work really well, locksmiths use them for numbering keys, each punch needs to be the same pressure and alignment is a bugger.... end result could be a disaster. Oh forgot, need one very very steady hand

That would be interesting, you could do "relief" etching maybe. Going to Maplin today to get some etching acid (pcb stuff)

I sent Min a pic of it last night, he was amazed lol. He is going to take the pic to the Vamo factory. He thought I had made the whole thing, couldnt get his head around the fact that it was copper lol and how good copper looks when polished

I suppose you could punch onto a plate of thin metal and then wind or bend around the olive ... the stamps would be raised and you'd have to pick characters which wouldn't look reversed ... copper on brass? question is whether the characters on the back would be distinct enough

Really looking forward to trying etching on the tubing, if it will etch down to the the brass, the buffed result and contrast between etched/not etched could look amazing
