The best Hoover I've got is a Nilfisk; got it 20 years ago and it's absolutely bomb-proof. Or it was, until it got choked with dog hair (and that was only because I didn't clean the filter) and overheated. It didn't like that at all, at all, registering its disapproval with a puff of smoke and a bang. Still, I've fallen back on the Lovely Lidl - an insane yellow bucket contraption which sucks coaldust, sawdust, mandust, catdust, dogdust, any old sheet you like and just keeps going. The plastic pipes that come with it are crap though, and seem to be made from recycled traffic cones.

I don't know what you're moaning about, it has Dual Cyclonic Technology with a 4 stage filtration system! & looking at the link, it looks like you got a bargain - £10 off
