Ok so whilst having vaped for over a year I still think I'm new to this hobby and am always learning. Anyhoo, I got a Terminator from Greigster this morning and after a second attempt got it setup with hand wound self-joined wires (sorry Greigster but I was a bit harsh with the zapped ones you sent me and they broke - I also had problems with 3mm wick being too fat). This is my first foray into this kind of atty and I have to say I've had a "spheroid" moment. I think this is going be my new friend ... after reading blakey 's guide and watching igetcha 's video, it really is quite easy to do and a lot easier than ss wick's. Comes at a price I suppose but ease, flavour, vapour and th is impressive and really does justice to juice. A worthy investment.


PS: I buy clothes from Primark cos I spend all my money on vaping

I didnt last long with ss,i personally dont like the taste,i know peeps keep saying it goes after a few tanks but i just didnt like it could never get rid of it

i like these silica type attys,ive got a brand new spheriod but havnt tried it yet all im using at the moment is my Dream rba and igo

the only thing that puts me off these is the no res wire palava,is it really not that hard

The non-res always put me off as well. Always liked just coiling with res wire for simplicity - the Spheroid doesn't really have a steep learning curve at all if you can recoil a vivi nova quite frankly and for me it is a stand out device for that reason.

I've got an AGA-T and AGA-S, oddly I get the S to work better than the T. In comparison to SS mesh setup, winding a couple of wires together is easier - provided you are dexterous but if you recoil already I can't see any issue.

With this you don't get the aftercare issues, getting it to vape properly. Having said that, this is my first impressions only and I may have been lucky ... there might be hidden issues lurking around the corner ... I'm sure others might expand / comment.

Ash, that looks great on your mod but I am sorry that the readywires did not stand up but at least it has twisted your arm to make the wires from scratch, which is not a bad thing.

Hope you enjoy the Terminator, it is a grand bit of kit.

No worries mate, it wasn't a criticism! ... I was probably a bit rough with them to be honest and it was great you put them in - it gave me the lengths to compare to for the res wire so all good

The wick I used in the Termy was 3mm GG silica that I had when I bought a Penelope. It fitted perfectly. I also tried 2mm. Ekowool which was too big and when putting on the locking ring, it managed to shave the outside . So the main wick had another short length of 3mm wick on top and the coil was wound round the 6mm. 4 wraps gave me about 2.2ohms to 2.4ohms.

gotcha ... have 3mm ekowool and got the same issue ... it was like a feather pillow had exploded

2mm worked fined and only leak I've had was because of meddling with the juice control and overfilling it.

Can't remember how many coils but my vamo tin read it as 1.9 ... perfick!

Finding this is like the Spheroid ... getting head rushes an all sorts.

EDITED ... and the Kayfun is supposed to be better? OMG.

Out of all the atties I own, Spheroids, Agas etc. the Kayfun is the only one I've had to reduce the nic level, it really does hit hard and the flavour is spot on as well.
