Nice one greigster, I'll bet that like me you'll be using that SS evic more than anything else You could be right Blakey. I dont regret buying the first complete Evic as I needed to know what all the fuss was about and it was my intention just to get a tele set for it but when the tele that I had been considering came up on UKV along with the Evic head and both the bod top caps, it was a no brainer. Just got to decide whether I sell on the complete Evic and keep the bodEvic set or do I keep them both? ...........

One thing about the bod telescopic that I have just been told by the seller, the set comes with an O-ring that sits on the top of Evic which then makes the top cap a push fit and raises it so it is level with the 510 connection allowing your attie to sit perfectly flush without even a fag paper gap.

Hi All you proud owners of the Evic. Forgetting the pc download facility updating and `puff counter`, is this unit only really as good as what you have connected to it. Using the same atty, how is it better than the Vamo or Z max. I`m not knocking this Evic, but would like honest answers, not "shiney" owners hype. Thanks. jeffc.

Yes jeff, you are absolutely right, all mods volts and watts are exactly the same, there are no special volts and watts that are sprinkled with some sort of magical fairy dust Having said that, my aims for the Evic are that I can know on a daily basis how much nicotine I am using and in the not too distant future I expect the software to improve a bit and tell me how many minutes and seconds I have been actually vaping on each day with a view to reducing my nic intake to zero painlessly by reducing it over a long period (maybe a year). There is already a clock on the Evic and I have no doubt that it is possible. A puff counter really isnt enough, the time actually spent vaping with the fire button pushed would be far more useful. Maybe there will even be a nicotine level adjustment that you can input so that it can compute the actual nicotine daily. You can already export an XL file so you can make graphs etc, although mine isnt working, maybe a bug.

When these first came out I wasn't that impressed with the body and caps but I liked the principle of the head but disliked the software at the time. I got a VAMO instead. I still use the Vamo but it's not going to last very much longer. The quality of the 510 connector on the Vamo is crap. the threads are brass like in their softness and have worn so much now they are like a pr*ck in a shirtsleeve. I also had to fix the electrical connection to stop it shorting within one week. The finish is p*ss poor and if you shout boo at it too loudly the tubes will get bent all out of shape Recently I saw the offer at vaping things for a Evic and grabbed one. When it turned up I was so impressed I immediately got another for the missus - it's size was just right for her - she's always moaned about them being too long.. (oo-er). I love the software and the screen - there are a lot of gimmicks I don't use but I use the screen that displays all the info I need - Watts, volts and resistance - I personally really appreciate the battery meter - I like to take out my batteries when power gets to about 10% and thus I never deplete them too much before another charge - I get a good day and a half ofaverage vaping from the samsung 2600's.. (note - that there are now 3400's(?) available for them).I just acquired a Siam mods tube set for mine and I love it - I love the fact that even in an 18650 tube this puppy is a good 3rd inch shorter than the Vamo. And I like the smiley face too But I have become enamoured with the bOd. I love the premise of the telescopic and it actually works out cheaper to get a bOd than it does to get the Siam tubes in every size. There are times when I want it to be smaller - going out - visiting etc.. and in 18650 it's not very pocket friendly it has to be said - but the option of using a 18350 or for me the best of both worlds compromise wise is a 1100mah 18500 -- is awesome. Plus I'm a short twonk so Beware of the Dwarf is Eeeexcellent I've just ordered a bOd for my bRo - but I'm planning on getting two more evics and with bOd's for both of them so me and the missus can have short form factor ones for when we go out. For me the evic does everything i need it to - and it vapes a shed load better than the Vamo for me - you get used to that 33khz rattlesnake on the Vamo but it always seems to be a harsh vape with whatever atomiser I used on it. The ONLY thing I can find fault with the evic is that it won't provide enough power to make a dual coil cartomiser really sing - dual coil cartos in 1.5 are really 2x3ohm coils and need at least 4 volts to work nicely but the 11 watt limitation of the evic comes in at about that voltage so- you can never really get the DC's to vape great - however if like my missus you like the slightly extra amount of vapour and cooler vape from the dc's you'll be fine as she loves them in a carto tank on the evic. I put it on the vamo and cranked it up and she didn't like it. If there was anyway that they could up the wattage output safely in a future firmware revision then this would almost be spot on for me... but all in all - 6/10 in standard but 9/10 with a good body mod.. Can't rate them highly enough personally.

The 11 watts max is a bummer for sure, but it`s worth persevering with, maybe they will come up with something, waiting for the kir fanis mod for it myself, got the head from bargainvapour and some cheap tubes from China
