Been there, read and bookmarked it as part of my reasearch. Still missing 1 thing though - I've read about 'dripping' - it this just a case of 'dripping' a few drops of juice onto the centre of the clearo wick and giving it a burn? If not...... help! Or is there a tutorial/video about? Can't seem to find anything. Would like to try out my new flavours before filling cartos as I may not like them (hopefully will have 5 tabacco and 5 sweetie flavours to add to my drawer v. soon) ps - Im not talking about drip-filling a carto - theres a vid of that in your excellent newbie guide.

So basically, I need to take one of my clearos, and drip a few drops onto the wick? Or would I do better ripping the 'cotton-wool' stuff out of a carto and using that? I know that the best option would be to get a dripping atty, but when it all arrives (hopefully tomorrow) I'll only have the 3 different clearos and 5 cartos - which would be the best option for trying all my (hopefully 16) flavours?
Cheers

No you cant drip onto a clearo and i am sure you cant with a carto. You need either a 501 atomiser or 306 atomiser really for taste testing. 501 www.vapeescape.co.uk/510-standard-resistance-atomiser~9306 www.vapeescape.co.uk/bauway-306lr-bridgeless-atomiser~356I am not 100% sure wether you need bridged or bridgeless for the 306 for taste testing. Somebody will have to confirm. These will need a corresponding drip tip. Either a 501 drip tip or a 306 drip tip. Drip a few drops directly on to the coil. Put your drip tip on and vape away till the flavour dies and then drip again. And if i remember correctly the 306 atomisers have a little well at the bottom in case you drip to much on when the 501 does not but again somebody will have to confirm.

Hello & welcome Fred Rosco is right, you can't drip with a clearomiser or Cartomiser, you need to use an atomiser

I don't drip, so can't give you any advice on that, but it looks like you've got all your kit & juice sorted to make a great start. So, welcome & good luck to you, as you start your vaping journey.

Ah well - looks like I should've asked all my questions before placing my orders. Should've got one of those atomisers rather than the Kanger - bummer I'l just have to get one later on. There's me trying to run before I can walk - well, I suppose I just want to stop the rollies & getting some kit ordered was better than thinking about it for weeks, and I guess the gear that is coming is multitude better than the 10motives cig-a-likes from Tescos. I suppose I'll just have to try some in clearo, then clean it out, then try a different flavour......

Hi fred and welcome from me too. You have certainly put in your research and come up with a good kit to start with Like everyone says - the first challenge is to find a juice you like. The tobacco juices tend to taste a bit like the smell of tobacco - so nothing like the experience you get when you burn it in a ciggie. Lots of people find one they like though, but equally lots of others find they prefer desert or fruit flavours. It is just trial and error to start with and lots of small bottles! Like many others I didn't like menthol flavoured smokes, but I do enjoy the odd blast of a menthol juice - worth trying as if you find you like it you can always try adding some to a juice you don't like as it tends to obliterate anything else

Smell the samples 1st to find out which ones you prefer the smell of. Then use one in a carto (as they are cheaper to replace than clearos) if you like vaping it then put it in a clearo.
Apparently you can vape through flavours in a carto. I made the mistake of washing 3 of my cartos and none worked again so now I just have plenty of clearos in and take a chance if I like the smell of a new juice.
