When I put the ceramic in the housing it goes in quite easy until the last 10% and then I have to use quite a lot of force to get it flush (I can do it by hand though), is this normal? I had 3 ceramics and it was the same with all of them. I was going to order some more ceramics and was wondering is I should order the housing as well.
TIA

Doesnt sound normal to be honest, mine goes in easily enough, but it does protrude by approx 0.5mm, doesnt affect anything though. Makes me wonder if your housing is out of shape internally, perhaps some heavy grit Wet and dry would help taking care not to touch the sides?

Thanks Skwoddy I cant take it apart to check at the moment as it's full, I will take some measurements next time it's apart.

TIA Mine was always a bit on the stiff side to get in but try and just put the smallest of smears of Vaseline on the O-ring at the bottom of your centre pin. It just stops the rubber from binding against the bottom cap. It also stops the positive wire nut from coming undone when you unscrew the ceramic holder from the bottom cap.

Greigster My problem is not with rubber, it's pushing the ceramic into the threaded housing that's tight :-)

Soz Ant, misunderstood, my bad. I sold a spare ceramic holder and ceramics last night but they have not been posted yet, I will have a look and see how they fit but I never had that problem when I had my Penelope. I will do a little vid of the spares and post it a little later.

Mine don't do that Ant, one is a tighter fit than the other but nothing to raise any concern. Both of my Pennies and the Euforia's ceramic fit completely flush with the holder when screwed in. Wet & Dry might just be the answer.

I have just dismantled mine for cleaning and ceramic drops straight in without problems to the bottom of the threaded inner part and sits flush with the top there should be nothing between the centre threaded piece and the ceramic i then place the centre pin through and tighten with the 1st o ring in place til very hand tight
