Hi all I am off to Nice in a few weeks and its suddenly occurred to me that I may not be able to take my e-liquid through security at Gatwick. Does anyone have recent experience of this? I've read conflicting reports on other sites. I'm taking cabin baggage only, so putting it in the hold is not an option. Flying with Norwegian, a low budget airline. Any advice would be ace! Thank you.

I would have thought same rules as most other liquids place in a sealed bag, i think no more than 100ml bottles so you should be fine with the 10ml or 30ml bottles

Thank you. I had no problems recently on a flight from Heathrow. Obviously you wil need to put it in the usual plastic bag for liquids to show as you go through and obviously it needs to be under 75mil. They didn't bat an eyelid at mine. What I did incase I was unfortunate to be stopped by a " jobs worth" who didn't know the rules, was to fill up a few cartomisers ( don't usually use them ) and put them in my hand luggage with my spare ecig batteries. I also had a mini ego and carto in my pocket ( for stealth vaping ) after all, you can never have too many backups You'll be fine, I think they are becoming used to them. As my hand luggage went through the X-ray on the way home ( this was in Dubai ) they looked at screen and said " is that a pen or an ecig"

I'm flying in the next few days and have done so many times (I fly 4 or 5 times a year) and expect to have no problems, just no liquids above the 100ml and put you juices in the clear bag as per usual and you'll have no problems. I did get my juice "checked" once in Heathrow by security and all was OK.

Just put all your vaping gear in 20x20cm see through zip bags and no liquid over 100ml and you will be fine.

All as above, but if you use clearos & have one on the PV you're using at the time, put that in the Ziploc bag too. You can get it back out after security clearance when in the departure lounge.

I fly every month due to work and haven't had any problems with juices at security, as most people have already said, stick them in the clear plastic bags as per usual. I would recommend squeezing the bottles a bit before tightening the cap. They will expand slightly due to the cabin pressure.

Aw that's reassuring! Thanks, chaps. Perhaps the articles I'd read elsewhere were older but they included horror stories of confiscation! :-o I can relax now and look forward to my holiday. Thanks again!

I've had no problems taking my Ego batteries and e liquids through security on the 4 fights I've been on since I started vaping.
I used to work for an air freight company where we had to have same training as the passenger flight airport security and they tend to keep staff updated regularly on stuff like this! Probably a few years ago when things like Ecigs and Eliquids were new on the market there would be a few questions asked but I doubt there's many air security staff that haven't seen or been told about them now.
