After reading some of the letters here in the Forum about the problems that others have with Clearomisers and Tanks, I have now checked back over my own stock to see when and where I bought mine and how well it has done over the past 8 months.
It was in July 2012 that I bought my first eGo Vision 1000 Kit from Vape Escape and apart from buying new coloured tubes for 2 of the clearomisers in that kit, which was in the Aug, I have not renewed anything else and I am still using that original kit including some of the original heads.
Over Sept I bought various spares for the clearomisers, because I had read on here that clearos didn’t last very long and I was concerned that they may pack up on me.
These spares are, for the most part, still in my spares box unused.
Also that Sept I bought 2 Twin Coil Clearos from another vendor as they were going cheap. They lasted about a month and then they were binned.
However I did buy 6 Buds from Safercigs and these are still going strong.
Over that 3 month period I also bought other accessories from VE like lanyards, coloured tanks, etc which are all still in use.
I was into Dec before I bought my 3 Viva Nova STV Tanks and spares for them. From VE again. I have had no problems with these and the spares are unused.
Also Dec. this year I bought my final lot of attys and these were 4 VE Nanos and these are used as e-juice mix testers. All are doing well.
In Jan I bought a GP Spheroid from Vapourart and another from an AAE-C member and both of these are a work of art.
Between my Clearos and my Tanks, I have done 2 dry burns, renewed 2 heads and one base. Other than that, all are still on their original heads.
I don’t have the dexterity to do recoils and where others take ten minutes to recoil a Spheroid, it take me an hour and quite a few attempts, so the coil that went on last January is still on it and doing okay.
One days cigarette consumption = £14.04p
One Viva Nova Tank with 2 spare heads = £10.95p
So, for the price of 2/3rds of one day’s cigarette consumption, I can buy a Viva Nova Tank with 2 spare heads that will last me a minimum of 4 months and I still have 2 unused spare heads.
The fact that my clearos do last me a long time I can only put down to the fact that I use the same Clearos, Buds, Tanks and Nanos for the same flavours all the time.
They have all been cleaned once, last month, with the ultrasonic bath.
