Many thanks to everyone for your warm welcomes and guidance relating to purchase of kit.
I was impressed that so many people took the time out to say hi in less than a day after my post. In some cases less than a minute (thanks giles).
Riva is featuring heavily here so it looks like a done deal to me, but will peruse a few of the suggested websites when I have a bit of time at the weekend.

No advice from me as I know nothing yet, but I've ordered the Riva kit too which has come highly recommended by several people.
I've only just joined but have been made very welcome, they seem a lovely bunch on here
