I sold one of these the other day and its coming back as it has broke how easy is it to repair the pins

What is actually wrong with your pins. I imagine the one connected to teh base is just pressed in so fairly easy. Th eone in the plastic bush has a wire connected teh other end and so is going to be awkward and I do not know how easy it is to dismantle the center cup the pins sit in from the base as never tried.
If the one through the plastic bush just has a damaged bush then I imagine you could refix with some araldite which will insulate it from the base. If you do, then make sure you mix the araldite exactly 50:50 and mix well so it fully cures and leave 24 hours before using. Just use enough to hold the pin around the bush area and do not pile it on in a great big blop..just a neat little ring and flows into the gap. I am just guessing this may be your problem.

I replied earlier to a question the centre wick looked like 1mm wick folded in half, its actually 2 x 1mm wicks folded in half and I am darned if I can remember the length you trim the fold wick to..think it might have been 15 mm I made it as you cannot trim easily once pulled into the spike.

Thanks Brambles when it lands I will have a play nothing to lose if it is scrap,or I might get a dripper for use around the garden when working.
