Hi All.
The Kayfun V2.1 quality of build is second to none. Beautiful engineering throughout.
A lot smaller than I expected. Was concerned about setting up coil and wick in such a confined space, need not of worried, `it is a doddle`, just follow the instructions given on the video`s.
Vapour production is fantastic, filled my lounge with vapour in less than 5 mins (Chain vape test).
Flavour excellent on a par with the `Spheroid`, but not `better` in my opinion.
Looks lost on my vamo, but good fit on silver Ego 900.
Would I buy another, honestly "NO", would save a few pounds and buy another `spheroid`
That`s my opinions stated, many will disagree, but that`s how I rate it.

I've tried both Kayfuns now and ended up selling both, although I can see why they have a huge following. The build is superb, great flavour, easy to set up and loads of vapour, but for some reason I just preferred my Spheroids and even my Igo-ls were getting more use. I guess it's a matter of personal taste and the fact that for me they just didn't warrant the extra cost.

I went through many many wick configurations before I cracked the 2.1 but as soon as I cracked it I put both spheroids on the classies. You're right though, flavour is on par with a spheroid but not better. The juice capacity and pure ease of filling were a couple of the deciders for me and airflow control sealed it. Plus it takes it's air from the side so I can screw it down tight to the mod. Kayfun all the way for me

Update on Kayfun V2.1.
I never thought I would admit to the following.
After 6 hours of usage this Kayfun is `bloody brilliant`, less hassle to set up, air flow controller makes all the difference to the vape.
IT IS OUT PERFORMING the SPHEROID in EVERY aspect.
It has taken the number 1 spot in my household for a `silica` based atomiser.(so sorry my beloved spheroid).
Is it worth the extra money, over the spheroid, ask me again in afew weeks time.
If you were hovering about getting one, I would say "BUY IT".
That`s it a new Kayfun convert is born.

I have tried the figure of eight, 2mm ekowool, 3mm, bosuns knot, a sheep shank, round turn and 2 half hitches, a self rescue knot and a granny knot but the best for me has turned out to be 3mm gg silica doubled, coiled and the loop cut off, so a 4 legged wick. I am not so sure about the ekowool now, not quite as good as I first thought but still learning.

Have got 3 days of use of the mini under my belt, my first ever set up of doubled 2mm ekowool+ 1.6 Ohm coil still going strong, not a single dry hit, no sign of a burnt taste whatsoever. The airflow control is absolutely magnificent, throat hit second to none, the flavor excellent. The cons: the mini looks a bit fragile - I would not to want to drop it, the price - I wish they were selling at 20 quid each, I would get 5 of them! Conclusion: Kayfun 2.1 is a very special atty for a special moments

I went through many many wick configurations before I cracked the 2.1 What did you settle on, the 'S' shape with 2mm? I settled on 1.5mm wick folded twice, the tails cut to the coil and the loops cut on the remaining wick to leave single strands. Folded upwards and inserted into the chamber and trimmed level with the top of the chamber, then gently poked down to the base. Coil made with 6cm of .2 kanthal leaving 5-6mm at each end for connections =2- 2.2 ohms I do the 3.1s different. The key to both these atties is to not have too much wick in the base because it chokes the juice well. I'm not using the eco wool opting for the standard stuff from cigeliquid.

Lesson learnt: don`t fill from top with end cap off, juice pores out of filling hole at base, result juice everywhere.
You learn something new everyday with these atomisers. (still think it`s the "DOGS" ).

(still think it`s the "DOGS" ). jeffc If you hold your finger over the airhole while the top is off and your filling, it works fine The luer lock plastic tips that C9 are selling now are the best things I have found for filling through the fill hole - highly recommended. They are great RBA's. I reckon the build quality and finish on the 3.1's is even better

Thanks for those tips Dave. I have ordered spare tips and fill bottles from C9V. My only downside with C9V, is their P&P charges @ circa £6.75 per order. Otherwise tip top gear and service. jeffc.

i just got the 2.1 and the 3.1 and i must say the 3.1 looks much better and i think performs better i am no expert but the 3.1 is definitely getting all the use and i would probably sell the 2.1 and get another 3.1 in time:)
