Hello - another newbie

Hello, I'm totally new and just started giving vaping a go today

I gave up smoking last year for about 10 months and totally thought I had beaten it, even was able to take up running which I loved, then a close friend died suddenly, and I was straight back on the cigs - kidding myself for a couple of months that I could easily quit again...

Anyhow, I find that I don't really want to quit, but I miss running which I can't do as a smoker, and I resent spending all that money, so I thought I'd give an e-cigarette a go.

I have bought this: www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=180 and it came with Virginia PG 18MG and I like the taste alot more than cigarettes, although not quite sure it's strong enough for me so I've gone back on and ordered the next strength up.

Have only smoked 4 or 5 cigarettes today though, and only because they are in the house, hopefully when this pack is gone I won't buy anymore.

I only ordered the single kit so have today also ordered a spare battery - any other spares I might need? Already I know I wouldn't want to be without it.

Also, what do people carry them in? I have quite a small handbag so don't really want one of those hard cases which take all the accessories, but I am worried about breaking it when it's in with my keys or whatever and it doesn't fit in the inside pocket of my bag. I guess I just want a little pouch or something but I can't find one for sale. Maybe I should just go handbag shopping instead

Very sorry to hear about your friend dying

How many cigs did you smoke a day, as that will determine, to a certain degree, the strength of e-liquid you need.

As for a case, as you have got the 650 battery that is smaller than an 1100, it should fit in one of those small glasses cases you can buy from the £1 shop.

Hi Chrissie,

Thanks - the ridiculous thing is that he died of an undiagnosed cancerous tumour (had never been a smoker), and it made 3 or 4 of us turn back to smoking, one friend is back on the fags after not smoking at all for 10 years. We're so stupid.

I'm back up to more than 20 per day (30 if I'm not at work) - awful waste of money and starting to make me feel extremely unhealthy.

Glasses case - good idea. I'll go shopping tomorrow, we've got 2 or 3 £1 shops in town.

At 20-30 a day, I think you do need to go higher on nic content, maybe try 24mg?

Yes, that's what I thought I would try next. Just ordered one bottle, Liberty Flights seem to dispatch quickly and only 99p for postage so I didn't think it was worth buying in bulk until I got the right thing for me. It's all very confusing but this forum was a godsend at the weekend when I was trying to figure out what to order, without it I think I would have just bought a disposable one off the counter at the local petrol station!

Oh, they are lovely! That's bookmarked for a purchase next month! This way of smoking is fun! I'll have to donate my cast-off's to my boyfriend and try and get him off the cigarettes too
