When these came out most people were using cartos or the like, so you could use your thumb to push the top down. With a tank type device on it you have to use your thumb and first finger round the side to pull it down. You soon get used to it, but the Alpha, at any rate, is quite stiff, so not for the faint of finger!

I think you twist it like an evic . Or, if you look at the centre biggest picture, you can see more of a gap in the middle, that might be a slide up switch.

if you look at the dimensions 139 mm long , half of it is missing ( the ugly bit with the fire button on ), so the fire button must be on the other half .

After many sleepless nights I have finally got a reply from Fasttech, it`s an automatic folks, a suck it and see. Quite unusual in one that uses 18350 batts :-)

Stick a low profile atty on that and it is quite stealthy
