Re wicking questions

Hi all,

So just done my first re wick of one of my ce5's. Have a stable 2ohms on the vamo. Used .20 kanthal and 3mm silica wick.

There does not seem to be much flavour. Does this get better after it beds in so to speak or is it down to the silica wick i am using?

Getting plenty of vapour and have upped the watts but to no avail.

All sounds fine to me Rosco........Like you said it will need time to bed in......See if its got better by this evening

It does take awhile to kick in, about a hour or so

might be because the coils to loose ?

Agree with all above. Give it a bit of time to soak up the juice & bed itself in.

What is it about this "bedding in" malarkey? Does it really improve?

I have been building all my own coils/wicks using .20 Kanthal that I pre-heat and 3mm. GG Silica or 2mm. Ekowool for some time now and my flavour is normally good from the first vape and I dont find any discernible change after 1 or 2 tanks.

Is there any physical reason why the flavour should change after "bedding in" or is it another case of the Kings Clothes?

SS wicks seem to get better with age but silica no normally good from the off
if you getting no flavor could be the coil is to tight around the wick did you use a paper clip ?
the coil should move on the silica just not to slack not to tight

I once saw on TV that if you put a cow in a glass of coke before you go to bed, it wont be there in the morning

I agree that with SS wick it does get better after a while but not because the flavour improves but because of the blooody awful taste that the SS imparts on the juice from the word go, starts to recede.
