as some of you might no i have the lambo v4.0 but i dropped it a while ago and damaged the 510 threads they are getting worse daily only my aga t+ still fits so there it stays gently gently until the vamo arrives i have also ordered a 510 ego style connecter with the idea that i can bond or maybe crush (slightly oval ) the lava tubes 510 connector then force the 510 ego style adapter in so i can still use it next idea is the top cap could i replace with some thing ells from another mod ? or looking inside the top cap the 510 connector looks like its a press fit but don't want to attack it just yet as its my only vv any ideas ? finally if it dies ill keep all the internals and try make a mod box or some thing only prob i have now is waiting for the postman to arrive with the vamo and the ego adapter i leave for France in 2 days wont be home for 12 weeks

Don't bother trying to rip the connection out of the lavatube head, just finished getting mine out, had to drill it out in the end so the head is now wrecked.
Fortunately i had another sent to me so using that now and hopefully the ego connection won't wear like the last one.
My advice is try and find a head for a similarly sized device or match the thread with another product ie plumbing, this is what i'm doing now but struggling to find the threading specs.
Will you let me know if the vamo head will fit on the lavatube

That would be too small to replace the top cap of the LT, if you are thinking of ripping or crushing the 510 connector to fit this in the well........again i wouldn't bother, ripping it out will not work and i can't imagine that you will be able to crush it (threads are flimsy but the connector is actually quite strong), also doesn't look like that will fit over the existing connection.

I have actually replaced dee's old lavatube threads on one of these had to force the head off and after burnishing and slightly reshaping with the dremel (putting a curve on the beveled edge of the top cap) I managed to place a 510 to ego adapter in its place shined it up and jobs a goodun

forgot to add I have a spare lavatube chrome head here minus the thread all polished ready for another adapter if you want it (pm me) after removing it from the old lavatube i had to sand it down to remove the blemishes made on removing it before i could shine it up and instead of a beveled edge it has a rounded off look I dont have any 510 to ego adapters left else i would have fitted one in there for you It is very tight to place the centre wire though from memory I put a blob of solder on the end of the board and the 510 connection made contact once it was press fitted back into place

Was this a V4? how did you actually get the connector out as on mine it was either part of the top cap or welded to the top cap.

I seem to recall it had to be drilled out using a small drill then a dremel to remove the outer part of the threads which came off easily I also had a small nut that fitted the threads of the 510 adapter so was able to loctite and tighten on without fear of it leaning off centre or coming away

Strange, i've got exactly the same lambo apart from the fact that it's a mini and i've got no external ego threads, just a well....see what you mean now though.
