As you may remember, I stated vaping a few weeks ago, whilst living with my husband, who was determined to continue smoking, no matter what. So, I didn't get to experience the full joy of getting rid of the stinkies - still surrounded by ash, ashtrays, smoke and smells! I was determined not to turn into one of 'those' ex-smokers who bang on about it all the time, so kept my mouth shut and let him get on with it. Well, 2 nights ago, he announced that he was going to make the change to vaping himself He had a taste of Pipe Sauce Longbottom Leaf (got a selection of samples from Archangel Vapours) and has declared that it's the juice for him. He's still smoking the odd stinky - has had 2 so far today, but isn't planning on buying any more. I am absolutely delighted

The downside is that he's not got his own kit as yet, and I left half my batteries back in the UK, so we're currently sharing 2 x 900 eGo Twists and a mini eGo battery. I feel an order coming on

I'd given it a year - thought he may have made the change by then - to have it happen within 6 weeks is nothing short of a miracle - and now he's got his friends interested too, it's only a matter of time before there's a nice little vaping community here in the west of Ireland. My next mission is to distribute 'Vaping Welcome Here' stickers around the local pubs, and see if I can get them to display them

Anyway, just wanted to share my joy with you all!

Great news! My OH just gave up cold turkey then cracked a couple of times in the work smoke hut. I've set him up with a Lavatube and mini nova with some TCV juice in it and he does have the odd sesh with that in the evenings. He really hates any other juice tho, the stubborn eejit

A Vaping Commune. Now that sounds an interesting idea.

A kind of Vapers Retreat that overstressed Vaper can go for a holiday to unwind from the rigours of life and Vape their way into oblivion.

Darkginger, as the West Coast of Ireland is an ideal place to relax you may be on the verge of something brilliant!!!!

Good stuff. Why anyone would smoke when they can vape! I wish all the kit you can get now was around when I was first experimenting with GreenSmoke stuff in 2010.

I'm hoping that the Mr will follow my lead, but if I push he will dig his heels in so I will just leave him to come round in his own time. He was convinced first time round that he wanted a cig a like and he really didn't get on with it because of the crap battery life and he hated filling them up all the time. I'm hoping that with all the new kit out that holds a lot of liquid I might be able to get him to come round to it

I think I've come up with a plan - from now on I buy only pink, purple and girlie batteries and clearos - then I can pass on my existing black/steel etc. stuff to the husband, and know that he won't steal my 'feminine' kit(s) I'm waiting until I get back to the UK to order anything from there, cos shipping is silly to Ireland, easier to get it sent to my Dad's and pick it up when I'm there. If we have any vendors coming to the next LSE meet who have pink etc. things for sale - I will most definitely be in the market

Great news Darkginger - I wish my OH would quit the tobacco, and start vaping too! She has said a few times "I ought to try that", but I know if I push it on her she will resist and stay on the fags.
She's just been made redundant, so money is extremely tight at the moment. I'm mixing my own, and I reckon I'm spending less in a month than she does in a week on her B&H! Of course, I'm still spending too much - she does the family accounts - but I'm happy and feeling so much better than I have done for years.
I really hope that you and your OH settle down in a vaping bliss once you have your own kit, and tell him that it's the best decision he has made since deciding that you are the one for him
