Ok so day two of using the evod, it just started gurgling and i was getting liquid in my mouth. and then i noticed a bit of leakage from the connection to the battery. is it possible this could be caused by over-tightening? as i know you're not supposed to over-tighten but i just tightened the connection to battery until i felt it stop tightening.

it's as tight as it will go the only other thing to check is the tube that pushes into the top of the head is right the way in,

hi danny, a few little tiny drops in the top of the battery is pretty normal.
The gurgling could be caused by condensation build up in the tube which has dripped back down to the atomizer coil (just hold the evod upside down over some kitchen roll, seal your mouth around and blow into the battery end, then stick some kitchen paper or a cotton bud into the mouthpiece end to dry it out.
If it's leaking quite a lot it might be because sometimes when you tighten it down too much it can actually rotate the little battery post in the base of the evod.
This can twist the wick and coil inside the coil-unit so it's no longer central over the hole.
Pull the knurled post out from the top of the evod coil-unit and have a look at your coil (remove the extra wicks if you need too) it should be nice and central and sitting over the hole below it.

oh man, how did you manage that? can it be salvaged? please tell me you've got a spare coil-unit or I'm going to feel really bad don't bin the de-coiled one, they can be re-built with a new wick and coil

luckily the bottom wick came out of the bottom with the coil still coiled round it, so i just had a look for a reqicking video on you tube and just took the whole thing apart except the coil round the wick and put it back together and it's ok now i think. at this point the wick was dry so i filled it with a liquid i've not tried (usaw) that was 1 euro from ebnferro and what an impressive throat hit! haha, i think it's working alright now, it must have been over-tightening, i guess i just assumed to tighten it all the way. thanks for everyones help, i also just accidentally learned how to re-wick a head.
