NEVER let your e-liquids steap with the cap off. Cap always on in a dark, room temperature place. If you let your e-liquids with the cap off, the oxygen will react with all your flavorings and nicotine, resulting in a half-nikotined eliquid and bad taste. Always mix your liquids with this order. Always put your flavorings 1st and then put your liquids heaviest 1st and leave the lighter ones for the end. In this case VG goes before the PG. This way will change the way all these liquids mix with each other. This rule applies for everything that involves mixing. From cocktails to cooking. Also, NEVER shake your final mix too much because you are breaking the connections of it. Its like shaking really hard a bottle of wine. The taste will change forever. Make small and gentle shakes for 30 seconds. This should be more than enough. These are some tips from a little DIY "seminar" we had from the guy at ATMOS LABS. Once i followed these advices i saw a huge difference not only in taste but in vapor quality too!
Got it from here:

Couldn't watch the video as my net is playing up, all respect to Todd as he's a nice bloke but I don't think he's an expert at mixing e-liquids. He may have done some mixing but he's always talking about the liquids he uses, mostly GVC I believe.

I always steep with the cap off in the cupboard in the bathroom and given them a good shake every day for a week, then put the cap on, and leave them to rest for a few days before trying

I just bung it all in and hope for the best lol. I do normally put the flavour in last however.
Just one more thought, when steeping, wouldn't it be best to lay it on it's side? Slightly elevated with the cap off. That way more liquid is exposed to oxygen. Or am I over-thinking it, just that's what they do with wines.

I just make the mix, give a gentle shake, put cap on, leave to rest in a dark place.

Or am I over-thinking it, just that's what they do with wines. I think you are really Matt . . . it is only a bottle of eliquid at the end of the day. Enjoy the process, the end result and don't get to hung up on the other mumbo jumbo.
