I was talking to a surveyor who worked on the building of the olympic stadium. Her sole job throughout the entire construction was to be accompanied by a police officer to examine every void (just try to imagine how many that is in a stadium) and to certify that the void was clear and then supervise it being sealed.

Gasper, yest the two explosions at the finish line are confirmed as bombs.

It is terribly sad.
My Dad has run many many marathons (well over 100) and is still running them at nearly 70.
He has run both New York & Boston before.
Very shocking just people taking part in a sport that they love.
RIP those who died and good wishes to the injured for a speedy recovery

I remeber years ago going to a Belfast marathon with my Dad.
It was about 1980 - 1983 ish.
This was height of the troubles and I remember Dad was careful about hiding a southern registered car. He and his team mates decided it was best not to run wearing their team "Garda" gear.
I was wandering about Belfast foe at least 3 hours (his PB was 2.50) on my own.... a child....... but it was safe to do so.

After watching all the news, I have a feeling it is a home grown bomber or bombers. They were not that big hence the low fatalities and they also reckon they were placed on the floor because of the high loss of limbs. Terrorists tend to have much larger devices and often use suicide bombers. I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem like an Al Qaeda strike

fact is sin is sin and the wages of sin are death. Not just death in this life but death for eternity....from the first eating of the first forbidden fruit sin entered the world and thus death...

I don't believe we are going to 'destroy this planet'..the entire world's population could live quite happily in somewhere the size of texas. Nor do I believe this is all a sign of the 'end times' and that the anti christ is going to rule anytime soon. However what I will say that something so horrid as this and the rest of the world's horrid things that man does to man and man does to beast is sign of natural sin from our first parents - adam and eve.

If you are wiccan I mean no offence. I'm just paraphrasing the bible. I mean no offence throughout this post but I feel the facts have to be stated. This is because of sin and america was founded on the christian religion and unless it goes back to it's first love then doom and gloom and the wrath of God can only surely follow. However I believe it will. But when I don't know...

Wiccan, Christian or whatever - man's inhumanity to man, and the death of the innocent will always happen in one way or another - Civil War, invasion, Al-quaeda, terrorism, its hardwired in through some form of activism that hurting others doesnt matter as long as you get your point across- and its that that sickens me.

There's no need for the bombings in Iraq, for the bombs in Boston (they confirmed they were small backpack-like devices and shut down the phone network so no other bombs could accidentally be set off), in some way they are linked as they're all trying to do damage to a democratic nation.

Everyone is free to believe in religion and sin or not, but America was not founded on the Christian religion, it was founded on the separation of church and state, and religious freedom, as set out in their constitution by the founding fathers. Sorry, just a bug bear of mine

I won't speculate on who did this and why, we know so little about it as yet.

Just as odd the bloke who makes the show denies they made the episode when patently millions of people would have seen it at the time
