Finally bought the latest karen maitland book, falcons of fire and ice. Cheap from tesco with another one, sequel to one about a disappearing library Anyhoo I feel chuffed to bits but don't know which one to read first having a joanne harris, sequel to chocolat, on the go. Which in fact, made me dump james herbert, ash. Yes, I do indeed talk like this in real life too but with a farmer accent. Gurt lush me muckers

I really liked the Chocolat series, she took it in an interesting direction. But then I tried reading some of her other stuff and it's very different!

I've read most of hers but I love karen maitland. Witches plagues bonfires strong women. You should read company of liars.

Ha, that's very kind and I would love to, however just having moved, I swear half of what we brought with us was books. We keep doing pockets of unpacking and the phrase 'Not more sodding books!' echoes around the place at least twice per session!

I use a Kindle app on my phone and tab, works just fine. These are all the books I've collected over the years! I do agree with @spikeyfridge, though, there's something lovely about holding an actual book. Half of mine are Oxfam-bound now, however

i was exactly the same for ages but i bought one and now its an essential. already have over 1,000 of my favourite books on mine. they never get scuffed, pages don't get damaged and i can carry them all around in my pocket. you'll be surprised how soon you get used too one - a bit like starting vaping.
