It made my fillings tingle........... For years, I've fiddled about with electrics & apart from when I was 5 years old & plugged a bare cable into the wall socket, intending to use it as a microphone (for some totally unknown reason to myself), grabbed the bare end & found myself propelled from one end of the room to the other (still have a scar on my wrist to prove it), I've managed to body swerve any nasty belts, although minor ones have been quite a common occurrance.......I've even totally re-wired a house before now, including the consumer box....think I was a cat in a previous life..........

LOL!!! Glad to hear you're ok fella. Electricity is something to have respect for, not necessarily be scared of. I had a close call last year prepping the 40amp feed for a new oven. The previous owners of our house had connected 2 sockets into the ring main ok, but the 3rd one that was being used to power the extractor fan had been spurred off the upstairs lighting circuit......which I hadn't isolated, well you wouldn't would you Needless to say, when I cut the cables half my cutters disappeared with a FLASH BANG WAHOOO !! Word to the wise, ALWAYS use 240v rated tools.

Another handy hint from me:
When removing water heaters from the wall, always drain the buggers first.....
