Never really done it seriously, so decided to strip and polish one of my black Riva1100 batteries as a practise run . All done by hand to avoid any heat issues. Before and after

I used to love doing this when my black ones got a bit battered, I used to scrape it off with my keys making lines then crosshatch then finally clear. Its so cathartic.

Mine was getting a bit battered, and I was in Blackheath Library for an hour or so running some performance tests on their data link....scratch scratch scratch with my thumbnail and polished when I got in.
It's Todd 's fault, got the polishing bug from his Sigeili #19 review.

I had a large garage/workshop at the last house, enough room for 2 cars side by side and my workbenches at the back This place is a bigger house but the garden is about 1/4 of the size, and the garage is the standard 1 car affair...currently filled up with trailer, and assorted junk. Had to move, the schools where we were just didn't cut the mustard, and the kids education ranks pretty highly on list of priorities.

That's a good looking workshop and a great place to live in too lol. I have a bench grinder like yours (different make), I didn't realise you can put polishing wheels on them!

I've got this kit bookmarked, though there are other similar ones I think: www.metalpolishingsupplies.co.uk/pro-max-bench-grinder-12pc-metal-polishing-kit/The electrics are being installed next week so I will be able to start organising my stuff in there soon
