Vamo Lanyard

Although huge and heavy, I do like to use my Vamo in my workshop, but I am continually putting it down and then I canny find it amidst all the spanners and other tools.

So a lanyard was needed to save me having to put it down.
Thanks to another AAE-C member I found a site selling plastic cigar tubes and then a search of the Internet turned up a site selling ring picture hooks and another selling copper rivets.

An afternoon in the workshop + an old axle that fitted inside the cigar tube to hold the rivets in place while I hammered the rivets, then an old puppy lead cut and sewn to it and Hey Presto, one Vamo Lanyard.







I do need to take it out to use it but the top cap also has a ring on it so it hangs there while vaping and then clips on to keep everything safe when I am not using it.

The Zmax also fits this but the TZmax is just too wide.

I am tempted to do something similar but perhaps a belt loop -
I tried an ego round my neck for a bit but it swung round as I was working
and was just a PITA, and a safety issue in a workshop at times
so I gave up on it.
But a belt holster could be perfect for larger devices.

T'was me I just keep mine in my jacket/shorts pocket.

How's that brass neck coming along ?

It will be somewhat thicker after I have worn the Vamo for and day or two!

I will now need to make a 2/3rds size one for the ProVari.

Preferable with a combination lock on the top cap to stop it escaping!

I use these from ebay at £1 apiece, they will take a vamo in 18350 mode but not in baseball bat size! they have a belt attachment and there is room for a spare battery.
