My Jan has now been vaping for 10+ weeks and we are still really beginners at all this. So far she uses her TECC Titan Tank kit, and more recently the black-battery'd ego-t e-cigs. She prefers the latter due to the amount of vapour they produce. Unfortunately we seem to go through a ton of the carts with the ego-t. As we found that they don't last, we decided to go for the rebuildable ones so that we can replace the wick etc. But just like the non-rebuildable ones, these knacker up after a week or two too!
In the meantime, the original Titan Tank ones are working perfectly fine! At the time I actually considered these to be expensive, but now looking at the hassle with the ego-t carts, I would now say that we paid for better quality. Unfortunately the 'vapour satisfaction' is not as good.
Can anyone make any suggestions on what we should consider doing next?
If the ce4/ce5 carts are rubbish, then are there better ones that we can use with the ego-t batteries? Or should we be looking at buying a better device altogether?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for that roscopecotrain. (Dukes of Hazzard? ...ahem..) We have got a 5m length of spare wick, but the coils themselves seem to be conking out rather than it being wick problems. I blame Jan for puffing away on it like mental. lol. Are these mini-nova's better quality then?

Yes the mini novas and vivi novas are highly regarded.
When you say gunked up. Are you cleaning them in any way?

Sent from my Galaxy Note 2 I've just ordered earlier today a new head/coil for our ce5 rebuildable. In the meantime, this looks a good deal... www.e-smokeless.co.uk/#/shop/4570133690/Vivi-Nova-3ml-Tank-with-3-spare-heads/5566710What do you think? Just want something that lasts more than 2 weeks!

On phone so linky takes me to a weird place lol. Only thing i will say is that most people will go for the genuine vision mini novas as they tend not to leak. Many people have problems with the copy versions but some people dont. I always buy genuine vision ones. Another one to consider that looks great on an ego is this www.ukecigcabin.com/product/kanger-evod-bcc-clearomizer they are getting a lot of live here at aaec at the moment. Super-Shiny is the evod king and has a great tips and tricks thread in the evod. They look the part as well. Sent from my Galaxy Note 2

2 weeks isn't a bad amount of time for an atomiser head to last, and you likely won't get much longer out of a Nova head if you have a high usage. The head unit itself is a doddle to rebuild with wick/wire.
The one you have linked is not a genuine "Vision Vivi Nova" going on the pictures. Not all copies are of inferior quality, but for only £1-£2 pounds more you can get the real thing. Personally I agree with Rosco and always buy originals where Nova's are concerned.

Have to disagree on the vision vivi being better than non vision , vivi's are all I use and of the 9/10 that I have 3 are visions , have found them to be no better or other than the non vivi's.

Where are we with this? i.m.o. the ego-t-tank system is terrible bit of kit... Battery OK, the rest.....forget it.....
Can't the day be saved by simply taking the batteries/charger as is, and adding a a decent clearomiser or 2 3?

Buy a couple of novas and/or evods. Buy plenty of spare heads and "swap them out" as soon as they taste bad. Could be 48 hours, could be 3 weeks, depending on juice and usage.

You could try a DCT JNSH, they are very easy to fill/refill, and a carto will last easily a week, with much improved flavour and vapour. I'm on my phone in bed so can't easily add links, but Vape Escape have a good kit for about £10 with a box of pre-punched cartos for another £6 - should keep the OH going for a couple of months! Search for DCT 35mm kit - it's in the very last link on their menu, 'Tanks and Accessories'. Andy

I wanted to point out that for around £1 and some change extra you can get the real thing I prefer the DripTips and head design on the proper Vision ones, and have no issues with; Getting the wrong heads Leaky positive post in the 510 connector Tearing tank seals Oddly marked tanks Chrome plating wearing off the top cap inside ....but I never said they were 'better'

washing out then dry-burning the gunk off the coil should make them last for several weeks, even the non-rebuildable ones

Only been Vaping for four weeks, (yippee) , but the two Evods I bought have lasted the four weeks, and that's with plenty of use. Just changed the Atomizer on one that was not seemingly performing so well, yip that was the problem, works great again. I have put the "maybe need a clean one" in soak in a "Sterident tablet" as someone on here advised (ta), maybe even get more life from it. I do also have a Nova ( clone, I think), that works great too. By the way I got the Evods from "Uk Ecig Cabin" and the very nice lady there threw in couple of spare heads/atomizers for free.
