I had these on my window sill. Sooty my cat fancied a smell and a stick went in his eye. His eye looked terrible very shortly afterwards and we took him to the vet, OH explained that we had a smelly thing with sticks.................and the vet finished the sentence for him. It seems it's not the first time he has seen it. His eye is better now after antibiotics and eye drops but I won't buy them any more.

Sounds like something that Blownupdolly would enjoy along with her mixing - all those pretty glass bottles she wants to buy

Sounds a great idea, BC, especially when you think of the aroma that you get after spilling vanilla custard, as it fills a room.

You can use veg oil or sunflower oil as a carrier for essential oils also rapeseed oil is good for massages.

You can also refill the liquid plug in's which use a glass bottle with liquid in them and if yiu have one... A fabreeze car air freshener That's an excellent suggestion - I have a couple of empty ones and loads of vape oil ponger.

Going by what was mentioned on that essential oils site, I added 40% vanilla food flavouring (as it's weak, in terms of our flavouring needs) to 60% PG and refillled one of those plug-in pongers. It's only just started, but seems to be working - there's a subtle niff of vanilla in the back room, now. If I were using concentrate, I'd experiment with ten drops at a time, I think. Using 40% would be expensive.

I've not tried it yet Des but would think that VG would be too thick so PG should be better, that's what I'm going to try when I get round to it!
I did try to make them once with veg oil and it was too heavy to carry the fragrance up the reeds!
