I hereby announce that only a few days ago I mastered the art of filling clearos the correct way EDIT - As a result of Verey's post below, I must add that I'm assuming the use of a "normal" needle and syringe like wot you use for printing ink - mine is 18g but others manage with 20-22, I see.Once you've removed the cap and the round disc inside (it's of varying thickness, depending on model), have a look around the outside of the clearo tube and see the 2 strings hanging down - say the holes they go thru are North and South - well at East and West there are 2 minute, minuscule holes. Zoom yer eyes in on one of them and get the point of your needle onto it, and holding the syringe by the barrel, gently but firmly press, wiggling a bit if necessary, and the needle will go right down into the chamber of the clearo, only stopping when the plastic bit where the needle joins the syringe hits the opening of the clearo and won't go any further (well, that depends on how long your needle is, of course). Then slowly press the plunger of the syringe and you will see the liquid enter the chamber and fill from the bottom. Stop pressing just before it gets to the "machinery" at the top, cos if it goes over the top you'll get leakage - and it's easy to go over the top if you have an air bubble at the end of the juice in the syringe and you accidentally whoosh the air bubble into the clearo - I dun it! Then replace the disc and add mouthpiece of some kind (a lot of driptips don't fit > ). If you read the above slowly and carefully, all the while examining your clearo to tie up words and vision you should soon be back here saying "easy peasy" scylla

I meant to say on my last post that if you are using the plastic annoying needle get the tip of it in one of the holes and when you start to push it in slowly turn it at the same time - this stops it bending so much and it goes in much more easily. Trick thanks to an NHS nurse showing me how to put a needle into a cannula port !
Also I tend to fill leaving a bit of air at the top and pull back a tiny bit on the syringe - seems to help the initial wicking get going a bit faster for some reason - possibly an air pressure effect.
