Ok so i have my setup from alchemist with raspberry flavouring. I jave downloaded ejuice calculator and know how that works and have studied the mix section here.
Question is how do you know what % of flavouring to put in? Is just a case of starting at 5% and working your way up from there if it is not enough?
Also up to bath saturday and they have a few shops that sell flavourings for cakes etc. Anything i should be looking out for? What should they contain and what they should not contain? Anything harmful if we vape it that i should know about?
Thanks peeps.

%s are a matter of personal taste and dependent on the brand and flavouring you're using. I'd start at 10% myself if you're not sure, I mostly mix at 20%, but have seen others mix at 30%. Flavourings need to be water soluble and not contain oils. As a rule of thumb, the fewer additives the better, but whether you're bothered by artificial flavourings and stuff is up to you. Some won't touch anything with certain ingredients, personally I'm not that fussed This is a useful link: wiki.planetofthevapes.co.uk/wiki/Guide_To_Flavouring#FlavourArtEnjoy the mixing!

Thats great. Thanks for the info ladies. I like my vapology raspberry with double flavour so i will try a mix at 20% first and go from there.
Do you all test your juice as soon as it is made up, pre steeped?

Leave it at least 24 hours, in my experience a very fresh juice doesn't taste of much. But it can't hurt

I echo what the other ladies have said . . . 20% is my starting point for most single flavours, although I leave my brews at least a week before I test them.
Fruits don't take quite so long to be vapeable 3/4 days should be enough for a good result. If you try them too soon, the temptation is to add more flavouring, which you might not need when it's steeped.
Have fun Ros.

Must admit I like the total % of flavour to be between 20 and 25%, but use 20% for single flavours. There again like the women above, I like strong well-defined flavours, and anything less just doesn't cut the mustard for me! Andy

sleepyduck - I think that might be a bit like Marmite - mustard, love it or loathe it (I'm in the latter camp!) Andy
