Salvaging old e-liquid.

Today dug out from cupboard a bottle of `Misty e-liquid` USA mix (tobacco). Tried it again, still very bland, so de-canted

some into 5ml bottle and added 5 drops of Capella Caramel flavouring.

WOW!!!!! what a difference, lovely vape slightly sweet.

Rest of 50mls of USA mix to get the treatment.

Conclusion: Never throw away juice you first tried, let it steep longer, try again, if still `naff`, try mixing with other

flavours you`ll be surprised, happy, and save a few pounds.

I must confess, if its that bad, I bung it, just have to much horrid tasting stuff taking up room but I keep and clean the empty bottles for mixing

The first thing I do to alter the taste of bad juice is to add some Caramel, it can all the difference between vapable and gunk!

Funny thing is I've got the same juice and did the same thing last week but added Wera garden Kent to it , gone through 3 fills on my pro tank this week

I'm adding a few drops of lemon, for some reason I'm into bitter at the moment.

I now have two 40ml bottles of "rubbish".
They are slightly fruity in flavour and I just mix them half in half with menthol and they are quite nice.

After I finished mowing the lawn today I had a nice hour on the swing seat vaping my menthol fruit mix.

CCW Raspberry is quite bitter and really lovely, just gone through 30ml this week and thought i would try to save a tobacco mix with it YUUUUUUUK....doesn't always work I suppose but the Raspberry MMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Menthol works for almost anything if you like it or CCW peppermint, which is MMMMMMMMMMMMM. Sorry adout the lack of adjectives

pleasantly surprised with my own apple and toffee mix. tasted of musty old socks a while back (i dont go round smelling socks btw) but its come into its own with slight overtones of apple and a decent taste of toffee. will make this up with cream next time and leave it a few months too

I bought some e liquid locally last week and planned on throwing it out as it tasted of ...well nothing .

After reading your opening post which encouraged some research i added some menthol crystals to seep and whilst its not great it is very usable(and my wife even liked it (I ve got some flavours ordered up as she simply has nt liked any of the tobacco flavours ive ordered up so its good shes got something short term until i get her chocolate caramel etc mixed up.

I never thought personally id move away from tobacco flavours but after an epiphany last week i realised tobacco is just the medium to the nic and other flavours would help remove the tobacco association over time.

I've tried a few different "tobacco" flavours and they are, without exception, rubbish. Taste at best like the inside of an old cig packet. I have concluded that vaping is not smoking and that it is futile to hope otherwise. That was disappointing, but having tried various fruit and food-type flavours and enjoyed most of them, it is starting to look like vaping really does have a lot to offer. I just don't expect it to be like smoking tobacco any more!

Seriously, as long as you don't expect them to taste like a fag, which is impossible, there are some very nice 'tobacco' flavours out there.
