Hi wondered if anyone could give me bit of advice Clearomisers: I am about to order a couple of clearomisers, I bought the Riva 1100 and have so far seen two models/sizes of clearos the CE4 and the CE5, not sure what the difference is between the two or which one I need. Liquid strength: I have been looking a buying bottles of menthol in 100ml size, I started off on 18mg but the site I am looking only do 11, 24 and 36mg. If I bought a higher strength would it mean I would use less therefore working out cheaper still or would a jump from 18 to 24mg be quite a large one in terms of nicotine strength and make me want to vomit? As a rough quide I vaped my way through about 1/5 of a 30ml x 18mg bottle in two days. Hope all that made sense ! Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi mel, CE4 & CE5 roughly the same , only CE5 is rebuildable - cheaper in the long run, as you can just replace the head or even rewick them. As for juice, if you were bold enough, get the 36mg and a bottle of PG. Chuck a load of menthol crystals in the PG, and mix 1/2-1/2 with the juice - hey presto, 200ml of juice.

CE5 is the update version of CE4. CE5 is reassemble and there is no rope.

CE5 is the update version of CE4. CE5 is reassemble and there is no rope. No rope, does that mean it comes with no wick in it and you have to put one in yourself?

If you buy some 11mg and some 24 mg and mix them in equal quantities, you'll end up with 17.5mg. I think

PG = Propylene Glycol, one of the double-act which forms the base of e-juice. PG gives better taste and throat hit, VG (Vegetable Glycerine) gives more vapour, and is slightly sweet in taste. Most people go for a mix of about 70/30 PG/VG, but this can vary, especially as some folk have an allergic reaction to one or the other so have to compensate accordingly. The no-wick clearo is a BCC (Bottom Coil Clearomiser) so needs no wick as it is effectively gravity-fed. I'm not conversant with this particular one, but am guessing that's what it means. No doubt someone will confirm/deny this in due course! Buying rebuildable clearos is definitely worth it - the new heads cost about £3 and all the other parts can be reused, saving 3 or 4 quid every time. Do make sure you purchase from a reputable vendor though - some of the cheap ones are just that - cheap! Vape Escape have always come up trumps for me (other vendors are available!). Andy

A CE5 does have a wick, the same as the CE4 When a CE4 is spent, you need to throw it out. When a CE5 is spent, you can just replace the head in it. Then, if you're adventurous (quite easy really), you can put a new coil and wick in the head you took out, and reuse it. A CE4 is about a fiver if i remember correctly. A CE5 is about the same price and a pack of 3 replacement heads is also about a fiver - (All ISH numbers, but you'll get the idea. So: For approx £10ish, you can have 2 CE4s or 1 CE5 that can be rebuilt at least 3 times and if you rewick them, almost indefinite use. Go with the CE5 and a pack of replacement heads Or go with a Kanger EVOD and a pack of replacement heads. Do NOT throw out the old heads, even if you dont rewick them - someone will do them for you, or you could trade them for other stuff. PG - Propylene Glycol - its the main ingredient of juice - i think mine was about £5 FOR 500ML - much cheaper than nicotine juice, so if the 18 mg and 36mg juice you mentioned are the same price, it would work out MUCH cheaper to buy 36 and dilute it
