A few days back Super-Shiny posted a thread here about the RVW function on the Evic software and this is a bit more info on that function. As some of you will be aware, I had a huge problem connecting my Evic to my computer when it first arrived. I said at the time I probably wouldn't use the software much but just wanted to upgrade the device firmare. I'm not too bothered about how many puffs the puff counter records, or monitoring the temperature of the device. BUT - I read Romelee's post and I have discovered a whole new vaping experience. So what's so different? VV lets you adjust the voltage to deal with various different atty resistances VW lets you set the power (wattage) so that you get a consistent vape with different attys RVW lets you program a changing wattage within a single puffI tend to vape at 7 or 8 watts, except my home brew VC which I usually vape at 6 watts. With my Zmax or Vamo setting a wattage is better than setting a voltage, but still needed a double-draw to warm up the atty on each puff. Using RVW I can set it so that the atty starts hot then cools down during the puff to my desired wattage. Romelee likened this to turning a boiling pan down to simmer, but it's even better than that because the pot boils instantly then simmers down. So, I set up three different profiles, each starting at high watts and then cooling to my preferred wattage over a 5 second draw. If you draw for longer than 5 seconds it continues on at your preferred wattage. Brilliant! This truly makes a difference to the vape over and above what VW can achieve!

I saw that post as well....and it is the one thing that took me off the fence about the evic. Now I definitely want one to have that option....fantastic way to preheat the coil so you truly get a full vape with each puff! Thanks for reposting for others to see!

Well that's another £57.99 gone lol. Thanks for that @oneday I hadn't spent enough this month, honestly I was reading with interest on the 'Double pull' thread the other day, and realised my atomiser seems to need to warm up more than others so this will be perfect. Where/how did you get the black Evic head/body? Cheers. p.s. Ooops, it's easy to like your own post isn't it, meant to click edit.

OneDay i have pretty much the same setup as you, the only difference is i have set it as: Evod: 10.6w down too 8.8w over 5 seconds Kanger Protank: 9.8w down too 8.0w over 5 seconds IGO-L: 9.2w down too 7.4 over 5 seconds I have it that way because it seems Evods/Kangers/Igo work a bit different to each other for me. I start at boiling and then down to simmer (Makes us sound like were cooking..hehe) The eVic creates a cracking brew at the end of it It's deffo the way forward this temperature control over things. Nice write up

Any body know why the MVR shortcut puts a user control pop up box up and dont open the program until I click allow.
I can connect to my e cig and set the RVW but its not been recording my vape record for the last two days, only showing something on that graph thing from last friday.

Mine seems to do this on odd occasions where I upload the info from the Evic to the MVR and it shows up as days with zero puffs???

I thought it up loaded automatic each time it gets plugged in, I need to read the manual as its telling me to read record 0 each time I click get data from ecig. Cant find record 0. Still early days yet, Ill find my way round eventually.
