You may have flooded it Dawnie if you've got juice down that central tube, try blowing it through from the mouthpiece end onto a piece of kitchen paper to catch any excess liquid. Or clean down the mouthpiece, again with some kitchen towel.

I have cleaned it and it is much better, sounds like I'm heavy handed to go with my itchy fingers lol.
