I did a coil once and it worked at 2.4 first time. Was well chuffed but couldnt get second one doing. Kept shorting so gave up and got some new heads. I'll try again some day

I also have an EVOD that works on one battery for about 10 draws, then flashy death. And just flashy on the other batteries. Waiting on a new multimeter as mine just flashes random numbers now, then i can check a bit better on the next ones.

with my nova, it came with a tiny tube of material which i think kept one wire away from the side. i of course, threw it away, as is my want when i dont understand something. i havent tried to recoil anything else yet. i have nova heads and a protank to do ..... eventually

Go on, spikeyfridge, it's worth a go. I've done a whole 14 now, so I'm a real expert I still get intermittent successes rather than the odd failure, but I think I'm gradually getting the hang of it. I recoiled 2 Nova heads on Friday evening, and although they vaped fine for the first couple of days, they seem to be tailing off now. Both came out at about 2.1ohm, and were with twin wicks. Maybe I should stick to single 3mm wicks for the moment until I can get reliable results each time. Loving the fact that I am vaping my own juice on my own coils though . . . Andy

Just done 4 heads in a row, all fine, and no multimeter. Hooray!

It's so satisfying isn't it? I can recoil my ProTank heads rather quickly and very neatly now.

Well done. I yet to put the lesson chykensa gave me into practice. Had so much going on over the weekend I forgot to clean my nova.

+ on the even brighter side, my EVOD is no longer an unusable piece of &^*%, and is perfectly useable. Happy Days.

It's definitely something you get with practice... in my case practicing NOT losing little screws and bits of wire. The actual wick winding is supposed to be most difficult but I find it quite easy at least with the 'wind the head not the wire' method - you get the wire on the wick, then turn the atomiser coiling the wire round the wick as you turn, pausing to loop the wire over the positive post. It does make for a neater wick, in my limited experience.
