Greigster which theme are you using? I've just made the "New" button larger on the default theme if it helps, I'll change the size of it on all the other themes.

The larger " New" symbol is too big imo, just don't look right, think it was much better as it was

Lol, I can't win can I Super-Shiny there is another advantage of having the larger New button as it gives folks a bigger area to click on so you are taken to last post you read.

Romelee, if you click on the title of the thread, it takes you to the first post in the thread. You need to click on the new button to take you to last read post, so it's not all of that area at all.

I love it Chrissie, Thank you. Its OK for young whipper snappers like Super-Shiny, but for us older visually challenged members, our arms are not long enough to hold the lappy at a sufficient distance away....plus it gets a tad heavy in a very short time.

Oh yeah, so it does , never clicked on new button before as i just clicked on the post if it was just one page long or the page number of that post if it was more than one page long. Depending of the post ofc as i would need to read from the beginning, done that all to often given advice when not reading the 1st post

As a compromise, I've now made the New button a tad smaller so it's now in between the size it was & the size I changed it to earlier on. I've also darkened the background so it stands out a bit more.

Romelee, just in case you also didn't know, you can click on the timestamp under the last poster's id (on the far right of the thread) to be taken to the last post. |This is useful if you want to get to the end of thread that has no new button next to it i.e. a thread you have already fully read.
