.... how much liquid is (supposed) to be in the prefilled disposable cartomisers available? I want to switch to an e-liquid system and I'm trying to work out how much I'd get through in a week. At the moment I use 2-3 of the VIP cartomisers a day. Five of these are supposed to be approx 200 cigs, but I seem to be getting around half that, as I used to smoke around 40 cigs a day. The trouble is it doesn't say anywhere how much liquid is in them so I can calculate how much I'm using.

Hi and welcome. The first lesson many of us learn about the cig-alike companies is.... that they lie. There is no way their cartos are equivalent to 40 cigs.
Most vapers recon to get through (on average) between 3 and 5 ml of juice per day. This is often more in the beginning due to the novelty and the lack of tobacco by-products. As a 40 a day smoker I'd factor for the upper end.

Wow, speedy response! I'll get a couple of 30ml bottles and see how I get on - I'm trying to avoid having to reorder every week as I hate running out and all the angst of wondering how long delivery will take. Many thanks for the info.

Hi again thingonaswing - I'm back home VIP like many other of the ciggie lookalike sellers, vastly exaggerate how many ciggies a prefilled cartomiser is equivalent to At best, it's only about 6-8 real cigs. depending on which cartomisers, they hold between about .05 - 1ml of juice 9from memory). BTW you can refill even prefilled cartomisers several times, so don't throw them away. Edit - crossed posts with Oneday

Thanks Chrissie - I've spotted a Riva kit I'm after. It comes with clearomisers and cartomisers - am I right in thinking they're just different devices for doing the same thing?

yes carts, clearos, tanks etc are all different devices doing the same thing. Just watch out for which will go together if ordering separately.

Another thing I've thought of - will the mains charger I've got for my VIP rechargeables fit a Riva battery or will I need to buy another one?

The "wall plug" with the USB hole in it will be suitable to use with a Riva charger, which you get in the kit,or indeed in a blister pack. Also, you could use a Kindle (& I believe iphone/ipad) wall plug with the Riva charger.
I don't think the actual charger (USB plug & screw connector) will work, as the polarity is reversed (someone confirm?)
