I know it's not a computer problem but it's tech. Every few times i make a phone call, the phone freezes after hanging up, it freezes on the call screen for a few minutes and then goes back to the home screen and it's fine. I'm quite low on hard drive space, so could this be the source of the problem?

Quite possible..You can use Data2ext or Int2ext scripts with a fast (class 6 and above) SD card, suitably partitioned, to sort it out. Look at XDA developers forum for those scripts.
Also see if your proximity sensor is still blinking after you end the call. If it is, that is more likely the cause and unfortunately means a hardware issue.
