I was going to post this yesterday but put it off so I'll post it now. Like I said in my intro I quit the stinkies four years ago January just gone but put two stone+ on in weight so started vaping to try and lose weight. That part is working a treat, 10lbs already in a matter of weeks! but I had a bit of a worry yesterday. I enjoy using my mountain bike and a recent route I found, just a 'there and back' route, on roads and canal bank which I'd done a couple of weeks before I started vaping I attempted yesterday. It's just over twenty miles in length but that includes about a dozen or so locks with steep short climbs which do take it out of you after a while (at least at my age they do!). Anyway, yesterday I'd only done just over six miles and about five lock banks and I was out of puff. My legs were fine but I was so short of breath that I had to stop and sit by the lock for five minutes. The six miles back home were fine after the rest but it did confuse me as to why I tanked so quickly. I could just have had one of those days so I'll attempt it again later in the week and see how I go on.

I'm not trying to worry anyone and vaping has to be better than stinkies but I just thought it was worth noting.

I don't believe our paths have crossed before GD, but good luck on your quest to quit vaping. I too used to smoke, no matter how rough I felt, sometimes it even tasted like an ashtray.

What I would say mind, is keep at least an ego, juice and a clearo behind (if you do depart with your kit) just in case you have a relapse. Better to keep an ego behind and use it, than get a 20 deck from the offy.

Thank you for all the kind words , there is a great bunch of folks here who's generosity has astounded me at times ....when I got my first e-cig (Skycigs) I never dreamed I'd meet such a fanastic , friendly group of people . But the aim in the beginning was to quit , I had no idea that devices like my Touchwood or Caravela existed .
I'll see how I feel when I can actually vape again but at this moment in time I can't because it's too painful but more surprisingly I don't have that desire for that nicotine fix , which is weird because I can't remember the last time I didn't want nicotine .
