Went out to lunch with Mr D yesterday at a harbour side pub. 'twas lovely! Whilst there two guys had the most beautiful French Bulldogs. My heart melted. I am now driving Mr D mad as my maternal instincts have kicked in yet again and I am determined to get one. Whilst searching info on the breed I came across this little porker! His belly so full of mums milk he can't roll over. Boy only did I completely fall in love but I laughed my socks off. www.funnyordie.com/videos/8d45ee1177/french-bulldog-can-t-roll-over

Hi Be very careful. I speak from experience. Do a lot of research on the breed and the person you are thinking of getting one from. They suffer form breathing problems. Elongated soft pallets. Narrowing of the nasal passages. Make sure the parents have not had problems. Go to a reputable breeder and ask loads of questions. You can go on little snorters on face book for loads of advice and info on there. Our poor little boy had his nasal passages widened and his pallet done. both not cheap £1500. He was doing well but we lost him at only 18 month old due to ruptured stomach ulcer and found he also had a hip dysplasia at an earlier point in his life prob at birth. I know they look so cute but please please do some research and lots of it.

<a href="http:// ErikErik2 Erik and George It was very hard to write about it as it still upsets us even over a year on. But on a brighter note we now have these 3 George, Kim and Erik

Hi dogneroYes, as I said in my OP I have been doing a lot of research. That's how I found the video as usual, I went off at a tangent and ended up finding that. One interesting thing I discovered is that certain colours of this breed are more likely to have certain health problem. The blue being one. I initially thought it was just because they are rarer and good looking, but I read on a top breeders website that the reason they are rarer is because reputable breeders are trying to breed them out because of it. It certainly hasn't put me off, just made me more determined to get a healthy pup even if it costs a bit more. My current dog is getting old now. She has slowed right down. I want to introduce another dog before we lose her as I don't want the new one seen as a replacement. My dear Honey could never be replaced. We bought her back from Australia with us at huge expense, but she is worth every penny.

Awwww dognero they are just gorgeous. So sorry about your other one. It must have been awful for you. What a shame. Our pets break our hearts, but I couldn't be without them.
