digicig cut a long story short doctor had me on anti depressants for about 3 years (never a check up or anything just repeats ) I decided about 3 weeks ago enough was enough if I could quit smoking these tabs should be no probs, so been cold turkey on them now for 2 weeks, reading your bit about nettles made me think double whammy hay fever relief and added bonus of calming etc. just waiting on my herb vaporizer to arrive from china and there will be no stopping me. So could be something to do with that also It could be coming off the antidepressants, depends what type you were on, but some of them do affect digestion. Going cold turkey isn't recommended, so be careful General advice is to come off them slowly, which takes a few months.

Prozac for instance can take 2 weeks + to be effective and takes a minimum of 3 weeks to ween thyself off The 5HTP supplements could help - but do keep an eye on thyself Fiddles

dragon digicigthanks for advice GP had me on Duloxetine, I never really wanted to take them but was coerced by other half & GP, truth is I hate doctors/ hospitals don't trust them. I haven't consulted with GP or Wife I just decided I did not like them & didn't want them , so I just stopped taking them, head has felt a bit groggy but I am suffering with hayfever so could be combination of both. I am cup half full type of person so I am sure it will be ok

Does this mean, then, that the medicinal properties of herbs can be transferred to the body via vaping? I have to drink a lot of spearmint tea, would be interesting if the same effects could be produced via steeping in alchohol and vaping. I don't have a herbal vapouriser, but I do have shedloads of vodka Does Fasttech do a herbal vapouriser?

It may sound strange but... Facial Yoga can be really good for slight depression - exercise relaeases serotonin and exercising the face releases it more directly into the brain - i use it if a feel a bit down to good effect Bonus is that just by exercising me face folk assume i'm going to the gym

I am cup half full type of person so I am sure it will be ok Strangely enough it is normally the cup half full types who end up hitting the wall. The cup half empty types give up long before the wall. Take it gently, optimism is wonderful, but blind optimism makes the wall harder to see I don't know why the doc put you on it, and 3 years is way to long to be on it. I used to be dead against antidepressants until I hit the wall so fast I demolished it and ended up buried in the rubble. Often people just need support and someone neutral to talk to, but if it goes too far, medication becomes essential to recovery. All sorts of things get out of balance with depression, not just your thought patterns. Depression is a physical illness not just a mental one, which is why things like exercise really help

I have an Ago G5 on its way to me too, from Fast Tech - here. I've been doing some work on testing the effectiveness of the battery powered dry vapourisers and will let anyone know verdicts. If you do get one do not hold the button down for very long or it will light the herbs since the heating coil is only 1 ohm. The G5 and some of the other brands of these things use ego threading on the skirt so the batteries can be replaced with anything with that thread which will allow 1 ohm attys (no power controlled devices). I'm gonna build myself a VV device than varies from 1.25 to about 3.3 volts to try and get round the burning problem but can say using some gauze (wire mesh but bigger holes) at the bottom of the heating chamber also reduces the potential for burning but slows the production of vapour.
