Tis Hayfever season once more, and i decided to try something different using an Iolite. Nettle tea had been recommended to me a few years back to alleviate symptoms as Nettles contain a natural Antihistamine which helped- so thought i'd try Vaping the tea instead. Did a swift Google before trying and found nothing - so trial and error. Cut open a Nettle tea bag - filled the iolites bowl and let it heat up. Went from sneezy to breathing free with the second exhale. Speculation on Vaping Nettles includes that it may contain 5HTP - the precursor to Serotonin (the 'Happiness' neurotransmitter) - which has been an interesting bonus. I've been using Nettles for a week and aside from a much better Hayfever outcome, despite a high pollen count, and no drowsiness or excess 'dryness' that i've experienced from meds - if anything a calm awareness results. Anyone else who has any information/experience greatly appreciated as i haven't been able to find anything on contraindications etc? NB Used Heath and Heather Nettle tea - as i already had it and would be more easily replicated by others too Also check with a doctor if on anti-depressants or other meds 1st

Also found it a lot easier to meditate in a focused way - so all in all: Much decrease Hayfever symptoms No noticeable Drowsiness Increased but calm awareness So after a week - seems ro be working - and giving a new lease of life to the Iolite too

So I am gonna go on fleabay and find one of them herb vaperisers and get some nettle tea and give this a try EDIT just thought is there an atty for herbs ??? bet there is

There is an 'atty' for herbs on Fast Tech with a 510 connection - the trouble is that unless thee blip it thee are more likely to get combustion than vaporization.
Have a spare iolite - if i can get it back off a friend - that'll i'll be selling if i do fa cheap(ish)

I am considering getting hold of one of those Ago G5 kits from Fast Tech. Then test the heating element for resistance and build a boxmod that is better regulated to power the thing.
A friend is buying one and I am going to try and get a look at it before committing money that way.

Yeah, I am probably gonna order one as well. I want to get a detailed look at the heating chamber as well as I reckon it wouldn't be too difficult to make myself basically a rebuildable one since the technology can't be too far from what e cigs use.
I already know the batteries would not be an issue and could build a decent replacement.

Not tried vaping them but been making my own nettle tea for about a week now, it's great and really does help with the hayfever.

You could steep nettles in pg? No idea what it would taste like, but sounds like the results might be worth it. btw, I have totally lost all pmt symptoms (apart from the moods, but gotta let me have some fun ) since I started vaping mint (not menthol)

If a Nettle tincture using alcohol was made 1st - alcohol and PG are mixable so add PG and evaporate off the alcohol and voila Might give it a go over the weekend

You can make it with fresh (forgot about that). Little bit of advice which I found out when I did it. Pick only the top leaves from each plant, like tea and only the young very green ones. And if you are picking to dry, only pick after a few sunny days.
