Fasttech Evod

Bought 2 of these from Fasttech loaded them up with juice and all I am getting is burnt taste is this normal for evods. I have left them standing for an hour and i'm using them on a ego battery but all i'm getting is burnt

They need cleaning in either warm soapy water or a bicarb bath and leaving to dry fully before you use them.

Nope it's normal..you might get a slightly off taste for the first few tokes while the wick & coil breaks in but it shouldn't taste burnt.

If it's tasting burnt that usually means you're putting too many volts through them (probably not possible with an ego battery unless the coil has been wound to a very low resistance.)

Unfortunately the quality control isn't great on the fasttech coil-units, some of mine had coils that were way off to one side and almost touching the metal.

It may be that the coil is not wound tightly enough around the wick, that can also give a burnt taste.

Do you have wick and wire to re-build the coils?

like collie says, you could try giving them a rinse out be careful not to blast the coil with water from the tap though as it may mess it up completely.

Tried them out on my vamo both are showing as 2.0 ohms will try and give them a wash fingers crossed it works.

Give them a good wash with hot soapy water and dry burnt them dry no more burnt taste in fact my juice tastes even better in them

Yay glad it worked. They can come with a bit of machine oil/grease in them which tastes rank, always clean evods before their first use.

The genuine one's are real easy to re-wick/coil. These will be the same i would expect.
