I have a feeling my evic is turning itself off when it gets a bump, anyone else found this?

No I cant say I have noticed it
evic does have timer where it goes to sleep though But if it is due to bump, I would give spring in bottom cap a little stretch out so it holds batt tighter

No problem with the spring. It's not that. I notice it in the car all the time and yes, I've just tried it here, it's when it gets a small bang. I've turned the timer off btw. Does this mean it's faulty? Anyone else want to try knocking theirs on the table for me?

I still have original tubes so im guessing it needs stiffer spring or maybe not it might be some weird safety feature maybe someone with the siam or kiris tubes can check

I've got the black Joytech tubes, not sure if they are the same as the ones which come with it.
I've just tried stretching my spring and it didn't make any difference, I didn't expect it to btw.

Yeah mine turns off after a knock too but the battery is a very tight fit. I think it has to be some safety feature in case it gets dropped.

Ok, I have 3 evics - 2 have kirfanis telescopic tubes and 1 has a siam mods tube 18350 +18500 Did the hold 2inches above the desk thing and none of them turned off in 18490 mode but all of them turned off in 18350 mode . Sounds like the springs are weak and are allowing the battery to break contact.

I know it's damn annoying when I'm driving and I have to keep turning it back on all the time.

I have trouble closing the battery cover on mine as the spring is so strong! Yup, my spring is very strong and you need to use a fair amount of force while trying to get the threads to catch.
